Herb, What are your “split tail Reinforcers”? Some sort of little Batten to fend off wing crushing dents? What are they made from?

Sorry,he weighs in @ approx. 185lbs.Herb Your kidding right, the guy I saw surfing was a ripper maybe about 175lbs my guess and about 30 years old. He was checkin out my 5.4" 50/50 board saying that he has a 5.3" fish too! If this is the shaper of the Quad fish he rode what’s the dimensions? I’d like to try to shape this myself actually.
The basic dimentions are on the board page,Scott W. built one for himself with guidance from me.You can archive that info. under his name and/or my name. Whatever this doesn’t answer comeback here and fire away.Herb

The nose looked alot like a kneeboard.
Bones, The nose and general outline is derived from an old 1973 Lis kneeboard template. The fins are custom recycled fins. The main twins are 5" base by 4-1/2" tall, the trailing edge is 1-1/2" off the rail, and 7-1/2" up from the tips. The toein is to the tip of the nose. The cant is 4 degrees. The Superchargers are 3-3/8" tall, and 3" base with a tipped forward template(you take a normal thruster side fin and Tip it forward about 5-10 degrees, and cut or grind the base of the fin down,to match that setting). The trailing edge is up 10.5"-11" and are off the rails about 3/4"-1",and toed 2" pasted the nose. The cant of the chargers are 5-6 degrees.Hope this helps, and GOOD LUCK,as it took me many tries to figure this out.(my bro will be most likely at the same place sunday, and me ? maybe there,or maybe zooport).Herb
Bones, I have a Q-4 that started out as a twinny. It was a driveless dog because I put the fins in the wrong place. I ground them off and re glassed them using Herbs measurements (and added Superchargers) and now the board works UNREAL!! I shaped it from a 6’ 2" C, with natural rocker. I cant wait to build another one with a refined template I have. I’ll use the 7’ 3" with added nose rocker for the next one. Good luck, your gonna love it. Scott
