Lunch @ L&L Hawaiian BBQ

This weekend, I had lunch at an L&L, with a longtime friend, Terry Hall. (circa 1964)     I made a surfboard for him in 1964, When he was 16 yrs old, that he still owns to this day.    A Red Dot, of course.      Incidentally, it is the first board I ever made with a chambered stringer.       Said stringer was 5.25 inches wide, Redwood.     But, I digress.     I’d not been to an L&L, for several years.     Takes me right back to lunch in Wahiawa, on the way to the North Shore.    If you find an L&L, get the BBQ Plate.     Pork, Beef, and Chicken.      YUM !     I recommend it highly.

Combo Plate; Stew & Teriyaki, two scoops rice.
