Measuring Rocker (peak or center?)

Couldnt find this in the archives earlier today, so I’ll ask it here.

How many out there measure from the rocker peak than from the center of the board?.. It would make sense to measure from the peak, but after watching Shaping 101 for the first time in a while, John Carper measures from the center of the board…Opinions?

It makes no difference until you want to communicate an idea to someone else…Then use the midpoint. Why?Basically, it’s because everyone else does it that way including Clark. Also the midpoint is the midpoint. No confusion, no interpretation.
