Metal kneeboards?

Does anyone remember a few metal(!) kneeboard ads, maybe in the early 1970’s. Surfer or Surfing Mags. They looked to be press-formed from sheet metal (like auto body panels), spoon shaped, hollow rails with removeable single fins. The smaller B&W ads were only seen in 2-3 issues. Any scans?

Ron Romanosky kneeboards,

but I don’t remember the metal ones… I wonder if they were in the 1970-72 period, before my collection starts ?

I’d be keen to read the blurb on them, hear how much they weighed, and if too many decapitations caused them to disappear from the market ??
