Maplins sell Isopropyl alcohol for cleaning circuit boards in 1L cans, thats what I use, works great.
Labled IPA, but tastes nothing like the IPA you get down the pub.
or you can distill your own, homedistill.org
Hey Swifty
I’ve also used meths to clean two epoxy boards before filler coat and everything seemed ok. Also used it to thin the filler coat to try and get rid of fish eyes. Definitely flowed out better, fewer bubbles and fewer fish eyes, but didn’t get rid of them all (filthy fingers i think)

Any probs from the purple dye they put in it?
Nope. Worried about that too but didn’t affect the clarity
Early in my experience with epoxy resin the sales people would recommend scrubbing with metholated spirits.
This was in order to remove the “Amine Blush” a greasy surface that prevented filler (hot) coat from bonding.
The next step was to soap and rinse off the metho.
More recent epoxys are developed to reduce amine blush.
I give the board a gentle scuff sand, not enough to chew off any weave, hose it down and blow dry.
Minimum handling with fingers…
Metho itself is a greasy agent, if you use it, soap and rinse also.
