That jetski was plowing through the lineup, looked dangerous, I usually see them (in videos) outside the lineup, and then the tow-in guys whip over into the peak. They really shouldn't be out there when there are paddle-in surfers out that day or that spot.

With all the second generation bogans whose parents moved to the Sunshine coast in the 80-90’s now grown up and surfing but still maintaining the bogan mentality there’s an entirely new catergory of kook which isn’t necessarily reflected in surfing ability.
Come to Pridmore’s board testing day at Maroochydore this Wednesday morning and meet some friendly Sunshine coast locals and try out some of his shapes.
Justinrasta, go and check out huies boards here, and his threads and see how much help he has given to other people here regarding surfboards. He might not hang out with the cool dudes like you, but he knows boards, and this site has a lot to do with surfboards.

Howzit justinrasta, First off I want to welcome you to the Swaylocks brotherhood. You have to realize that those of us that have been on this site for years are very protective of the site and the people who donate their time and ideas which earns them respect here. You are a new member and we have no idea of your skills in building boards so you need to establish your self. Memebers will stand up for other members and that is one of the good things here and I guess you must have stepped on some toes to have the boys jump on you. I suggest you step back and donate some ideas and earn some respect before things get out of hand. We have had some real jerks come here and make statements that members don't like to hear and those people will normally just be ignored till they realize they are not wanted. Let's hope that doesn't happen to you before you have a chance to show us what you know and are able to donate your expierence. Take care and either learn or donate to the sway site. Aloha,Kokua

I was backing up the boys I was filming, some of the best in the world…and some of the best people in the world. If you ever have the chance to meet some of our world champions I guarantee they will not show you a negitive vibe what so ever.
So when I post something in good faith and the first message was negative and disrespectful to me and the surfers involved, I returned with negativity.
I guess we all have to understand were each of us are coming from, try to be as positive and respectful as you would if you were standing if front of that person. I have learned something out of this, I hope some other people have to.
I totally agree with you and maybe I should have gone for the jugular in the first place and I apologise to all if I offended.
I hope I can have an input but shouldn’t that post be taken down seeing it has volgar language in it?
I’m a pretty honest guy and that usually rubs a few people the wrong way…

Howzit Justin, After living in Hawaii for over 40 years I have met my share of of pro surfers through the years plus being an ASP certified judge helps meeting their sponsers also. When you live in Hanalei and surf the Bay regularly the pros can't come without surfing it either. Unfortunately my life has done a 180 healthwise and I left Hi. 6 months ago to help my family through some hard times and I am unable to surf due to trauma to my body from cancer. Aloha,Kokua

At the last measure , there was stil around 1 to 2 metres of sand covering the Kirra reef . Kirra is still there , buried. Pre-groin Kirra is a distant memory..........Post groin Kirra can produce the goods , and it will again one day. The recent footage was awsome and gives hope , but it wasnt real Kirra.........it was just teasing us...
