Hey People !
Need some help choosing the blank for this new project. Hand shaping a 7`4`` mini long , and here is my blank choices, avaiable here in brazil.
Blanks are 7`5``
Both are low entry , tail fliped
First blank has very low entry
Second one has a litle bit more but still low.
I want this board to have great paddle power, and great wave entry. Thats why I choose these low entry rocker blanks.
Just wondering if you longboard guys could help choose which blank will be better . Will this low entry rocker have negative effecs? The board will ride mostry mush waves, being optmistic 3 4 foot clean waves.
I will keep bottom contour as simple as possible. Flat to 3/16 vee somewhere around 16`` from tail.
Board outline will be 17 nose 22 center(4 inches back) 15 tail.
Any advice for another blank(us blanks) will be great, as I can try to find something similar here in Brazil.
Also advice with any other bottom contour is welcome, as I have no experience with longboards and vee shaping, ive been shaping mostly concaved shorties so far.
As you can see I.m quite lost and any ideas will be very welcome. As soon as I start shaping it I will post pictures of the process !
