I also saw a video clip in which he had the soft red center fin, the one that can be bent 90 degrees with fingertips. In their marketing Surfco says he even rides it in outer reef pipe. Whadda ya think?
Dino could ride a sealy posturepedic with graham crackers for fins and still rip 2nd reef Pipe. Doesn’t mean a thing for mortals like us. Hes got a gift.
I was talking to Tommy Chung min one day at Maile point and he was riding a board with that fin and when asked how he liked it he said it was a safety issue for him and that he couldnt feel the difference between that and a regular fiberglass fin so he uses the soft fin.

Was Mr. Chung riding a Super Flex fin or a Pro Teck, that is rigid w. soft edges? I can understand if he couldn’t feel the difference with the Pro Teck but the Super Flex looks like a really soft fin!
