I understand (after checking the archives) that to get a light colour on a resin tint you would not ad white pigment but just go with less pigment of the actual colour…
Would the opposite be the case to get a darker colour (just ad more pigment) or could/should you ad some black to get it darker. I am going dark/light green and I am mixing 50/50 yellow and blue pigment to get the green.
Dark, you add more pigment until the mix ration is off for curing, then if you want it darker, start to add black …a little at a time and really stir it.
Light tints basically don’t work, so using less really becomes splotchy and sunfaded quickly. Instead, pick a different company color and mix in the right amount, just enough to fully cure.
Takes some trial and error, of course, and some luck too.
