Have a rookie question. What does it mean when it is said to mix a ratio of 3 to 5% by weight? Also 1to 2% for final coat? These are the mixing instructions I have for surface agent.
Thanks to all who respond

For a total final weight of 100 g, 3% would be 3 g (+ 97 g = 100 g). And so on** …**
I use 20 cc’s per pint for hot coat, that will give you 4%.
According to the mix ratio chart from Fiberglass Hawaii for their Aluzine Epoxy Resin System, the 2% by weight is for the resin (not resin + hardener). Their mix ratio(by weight) is 100:40 so 100g resin + 40g hardener = 140g +2% additive(of the resin only) = 2 g for a total weight of 142g.
