Good job on these. Been following your work. Solid. Hope someone steps up, because I still believe the Modified Clark Hitachi is second only to a Skil 100. A lot of shapers who learned on a Hitachi will always stay with the Hitachi. They have their weaknesses, but can still get the job done. These days with all the CNC services available, it’s hard to sell a fully restored Skil for a fair price.
Do the planers have factory or upgraded bearings?
No they do not have the sealed bearings. These go out with increased usage so that’s why I put the sealed ones on. They are better.

Sorry I was at work when I sent the other email as a response. To be clear, the stock planers come with subpar bearings that do go out. The upgrades I listed in the first email response is that the new sealed upgraded bearings are put into the planer as the modifications are being done, so when you get the planer it has all the bells and whistles.
