This longboard is done with a poly blank and Resin Research Epoxy resin. It's backyard, not perfect. It's time for the Swaylock's Crew to step up and do AWESOME COLOR WORK with epoxy resin. It can be done........

Thank you Dave. The gears inside my brain are spinning super fast right now. Nice clean laps. I like that. Let's talk about the deck photo. Without giving away too many secrects....epoxy or poly? Two layers of cloth? Tell me about the stringer...

Pu Blank… std stringer… Pu resin, Cutlaps…6 bottom 6x4 deck with 4oz patches on the tail on both sides…

Heres a nagging question I have for you al regarding color work. I have done a few boards with pretty standard color jobs…solids, cut-laps, and lots of ones like feraldaves blue and black board with two two colors that are supposed to have the not-perfect look. My question is how the heck are guys doing absolutely perfect seperation in their resin color work? There’s no way it’s in the lamination, right? But the color is too solid to be applied in a hotcoat stage, isnt it? Like this one…

I have a painting background. If I wanted a surfboard to look like the one you posted I would do it with paint on the foam. I have all the tools to get the job done. I have a really good idea how they do it with resin but I've never done it that way. It's really simple. Don't over think it. I've never done it that way so I will not give advise................Ray
