To my eye, the art happens when its long, pointy, curvy, and clean.
PS - funny how the eye/mind works. I dont like pointy tips for safety, I shaped a sexy semigun once with a real pointy nose. Took pics that board was so sexy, Then I cut 1/2" off the nose before glassing and the sexyness was gone in an instant! Now that’s a hot tip boys!

Nah, no time for homework, surfs too good today Herb. I like this site but I don’t shape, therefor I’m not here to gather intel but rather to very occasionally talk surf with people who more than occasionally have interesting things to say about same. I believe the topic was shapes that inspire us (visually) in my case- cause I just can’t see surfing a razor thin hull and especially a stinger swallow… sexy as the outlines are. Mani is a friend that’s all. As for forgetting roots, I can’t say as we don’t take long walks and talk of such things, maybe when we retire and the kids are grown. The fish you posted look fun Mr. Spizer, you’ve really done your homework with Lis et al. Honestly, they do look fun and were you to talk to Sr. Caro I think you would share my opinion, a nice guy, well crafted surfboards and that’s enough for most folks.
