It’s funny i go online any day of the week and the site has been F&%king busy… Come saturday and sunday you could drop a bomb here and wouldn’t get a reply till monday??? So it makes one think it must be SURF… We all got waves i hope? i did for the last 4 days. It’s been stand up, overhead and offshore with blue skys??? Air temp in the high 40’s water 50’s it’s like fall all over again… The NW can be rainy but when it nice it’s pretty hard to beat. How was the surf around your parts… What makes us build our lives around surfing? is it the boards we love to make or is it really the surf that drives us?? can’t surf so must build!!! we haven’t had surf in months!!! I’m sick with no surf! I just finished my 9’8" noserider a couple of days ago. polished out BEAUTIFUL, best ever thanks to ya’ll. I’m dying to get it out. yesterday was the best surf in a while, 1-2’ but at a water temp of 56* unless it’s shoulder high and clean there’s no way I’m going out. you guys surfing that cold ass water blows me away, but guess when it’s good ya gotta go. most people here pack it up till the water hits 70* no matter the conditions. it’s the weekend, nobody goes to work so nobody’s online. cheers Rob, catch some for us poor folks on the peninsula.
…Just got home with the girls(took them down to see uncle Bob and Grandma).T.J.s was firing on the inner reefs,and saw middles fold a couple times,Nice! 3pm and glassy with a weird north wind?Kinda offshore,only a hand full of guys out down the beach.Herb
Sorry Rob. YOURE a true believer, but for many others, its NOT the surf, or building anything. For many of these guys Swaylocks is nothing more than an amusing diversion. The most surfing they can honestly boast about is stealing a slice of the boss`s time at work to ride the web. Unlike real waves, their work week ends predictably on Friday afternoon, beginning once again, same time, same place, on Monday morning. Bored corporate drones? They live on another planet.

Ya, seems like light traffic here on the weekends (only the die-hards?) - must be either good surf or like the other guy said a lot of people only log on when they are “working”! I have two half done boards in the garage, am almost done building a jig for fixing broken boards (using Jim Phillips’ pipe clamps idea) and am backlogged shaping 4 other boards for friends & relatives… I just wish I had enough time to surf, shape, and work!!! It’s definitely the surf (and my family) that keeps me going, though. Hope you get some good ones…
