Some pics of my new board 6’1" egg, concave nose and V on tail!
Hey Romeu! Great job man. I really appreciate the pics of the board against the sand grownd. Next board, try to take more pics of the whole process, with the environment, tools, etc. For exemple, I think you could improve the pin lines, but I don’t know what kind of resources you have at hand.
Be proud man, you have the feeling! Good luck!
Interesting board Romeu, a 6’1" that looks like something a lot longer.
By the pics it looks like the tail rails are pretty soft with not much edge. To help a small board like that perform better, I would make make a hard edge on the tail, tapering off 12" to 18" up, 300mm to 450mm, your choice. This would help with water release, keep the tail up and going, especially with v in the tail. It doesn’t have to be square, just a defined edge off the bottom.
I was in Portugal in 1987 and worked a bit with Nuno Taviera (Papoa) in Peniche. At that stage he was getting his act together with edges and we exchanged lots of info.
I had a lot of fun there, good waves and great people, and those little baked custard cakes from the coffee shops were excellent.
Dude I first looked at the pic before i read anything and i thought that was like a 9’ noserider singlefin! Surprised me when i read 6’1
It looks sweet though. Nice swirl!
This board was made of a recycled board(my first board that didnt came out fine) I’m happy with the board and i’m waiting for a good swell to test it!I hope that the board catch waves easy because i’m justa a beginner!!
Thanks for all the help and inspiration swaylocks guys, god bless this forum…
