Aloha, How would this work out for a pointbreak noserider? Walker Foam 9’10" long 23 1/8" wide 15" pintail 3 1/4" thick 18 1/2" Nose with subtle concave T-band stringer, 8 ounce Volan glass, with 6 ounce deck patch and a light green (kelp color) tint for icing on the cake. Rider is about 6 feet tall and about 185 lbs. I’m stoked about this but let me know. This is for a point and reef break board (malibu, rincon, SanO, C-Street, etc). Mahalo everyone. The knowledge and info on this site blows my mind.

I’d go much narrower on a point break board, you have the wall out in front of you and the turns are more down the line. A narrower nose will hold in better at higher speeds with out he side slip associated with wide noses. A wider tail is ridden flatter, so pull it in too so you can get a little rail action. Even the center can be brought down to 22 1/4" - 22 1/2". Everyone has forgotten about riding narrower longboards. The physial size alone gives more than ample floatation, the center section hardly changes at all as you change the nose and tail widths. Pulled in tails can be driven into the water deeper for quick turns and some radical stomp stalls, leading to some astonishing nose rides.
