Hey Ben, ever thought of devoting yourself to a fin concept or a theory and exploring it ? Not like a monk or anything, just give 6 months to working thru an idea to see where it goes.
Frinstance, I’m not doing flat / single plane fins anymore but focusing on fins with extended dimensions like length and width.
Maybe put your devotion and skills to new areas…

I guess the numerous versions of the 'hockey stick fins’over the last three years , are the closest to what you mentioned . A few friends have tested the various versions , as documented on this site occassionally . And , naturally , I also intend to !
The next priority is a finbox thickness , multi-pigmented fin that my brother wants , so … once 50 layers or so of 8 x 10 " 6oz [preferably!] offcuts have been accumulated …
