My first board 6'1" fish, quad fin

I just finished shaping my first board. Its a 6’1" x 20.5" x 2.5" fish shaped from EPS foam, and I put a quad future fin set in it. I’m a quad fin junkie now. Excited at the end result! I took it and my normal short board to mainland mex on a last big swell. Definitely a cruiser, but fun and fast. It had a good thickness to get me into the bigger mushier waves where my usual short board wouldn’t.

Thanks for all the help from Swaylock’s folks!

very nice

what are the nose and tail specs?

At the tail, it measures 7 inches across x 1.5" thick. And 12" from the nose it measures about 10.5" across. I used a parabolic curve in my design program, and moved the apex of the curve forward a few inches. I tried to model it after a few C I boards I like. In hindsight I would have made the board a little thinner, since it is 20.5 wide in the middle.

12" up from tail?

The board looks sexy! I love the outline…I just dont think its 10.5 nose, 10.5 is pretty much a shortboard style pointy nose. THis one looks more like 15" than 10"

Its hard to say… I would have to measure it, but I’m at work currently…

If I didn’t cut the swallow tail in the back, then 12" up from what would have been would have been 10.5" due to the parabolic arc. So if I were to venture a guess off the cuff, 12" from the tip of the swallow tail, I would say it is 13-15" across at the front fin boxes…
