I finally made the decision to shape my first board. I’m in the process of getting what I need etc. I want to try to shape a single fin egg in the 6’0’’ to 6’3 range. I have a few shaping tools already, surform, hand saw, tape measure, sand paper, block plane. I was wondering what type of advice you guys could offer in getting started. I was going to order my blank and a set of calipers from foam ez. Do you guys think a single fin egg is a good first board to shape as compared to a thruster or classic fish? For all you guys who have been shaping what are some dos and dont’s?
