I just finished shaping and glassing my first board. It’s a 9’ 2" noserider with 50/50 rails, square tail, a teardrop concave, and a glassed on handmade wooden fin. Thanks to everyone on this site who helped with the process (especially glassing!). I’ve since shaped a 9’ 6" and a 10’. Hopefully I’ll have 2 more done by the end of the month. For the 2nd time around though, I’m definitely going to try Suncure resin for at least the laminating coat. Hopefully that will speed up the process. With any luck, I may even sell a few!
Thanks! I took it out for a test run yesterday in waist + peelers in Rye, NH. Rode like a champ and held long noserides for a “shorter” longboard. If I do ever earn some cash at this game, it will be at a minimum wage rate. I shape for joy of it.
