My first eps board

Kai,

Yeah! They’re very kind plus they treat me as member of their family…They know I love surfing…and i clean-up the mess after working with the board…and it’s better doing something really creative than doing nasty or nothing at all.

arnel

Hey Arnel,

I’m from manila. 'Haven’t been back for about a decade or so. Can you tell me when would be the best month to go surfing over there? Also what about the military, any problems on that front? I’m not looking for super nice accomodations I wouldn’t even mind camping out. I’m worried though about crime and other hastles.

I checked out that pbase account and those waves are looking sweet! nice shape, blue and EMPTY!

Keep up the good shaping work and maybe someday your boss might be buying a custom shape from you!

Cheers,

Rio

PS have you ever thought about lamming “banig” on your boards? I’ve seen a few pics from some sites and it looks pretty good.

great to have a guy from the phillipines here at sways , welcome aboard mate ! I LOVE how there’s crew here from norway , germany , spain , italy , africa … truly an INTERNATIONAL site , sways ! good stuff !

one of my favourite surfing photographers from Surfer magazine , and the former main photographer editor of “Skateboarder magazine” in the 1970s , a guy called Warren Bolster , has , I am pretty sure , been based in the Phillipines for many years . Ever bumped into him , in your travels ?

John Callahan seems to be another one who shots a lot of stuff there , as well as Australia’s Ted Grambeau.

You may have seen Warren Bolster’s cameraboard shots of local Manoa Drollet at Teahupoo around , maybe ? [they got used in some Rip Curl ads a while ago …AMAZING photos …not a drop of water on the lens !]

cheers

ben

Ben

Thanks for your warm welcome Ben…I haven’t seen any photos of Warren Bolster (sorry for that) maybe he stays in siargao cloud 9, many foreign surfers migrated there for lucrative side of surfing ( maybe he’s one of the resort owner there) and enjoy life as well…I saw photos of John Callahan in his website, he really traveled around and explored many places…

Cheers

Arnel

I think Warren married a Phillipino lady…
