my new stick

made with kinda weak wood, I couldn’t really find anythign stronger but yet I didn’t really look all that hard to find any… it’s just kinda three ply 3/8" glassed with four six deck with patches over the bolts and tail, and three four (actually more like one ) four ounce offcuts (I was gunna do another four six, but I wanted to use it so I went ahead with the four), west epoxy, 48"x8.25", had to move my back trucks up twice because it was two flexy, still kinda is but it’s deal able if you don’t put all your weight in the middle… sanded deck the deck to 220 and painted it, no grip because I only use it barefoot and never liked grip anyway, and just left the bottom how it was after it was hotcoated because I liked the shinyness, and did hotrod flame type things down the rails in paint pen.

I bombed a hill infront of my house with it and it was no where near speed wobbles with crappy trucks and super worn wheels, so I’m looking foward to getting better trucks and new wheels and carving up my neighborhood.

and it has a pintail behind the bin thing in the first pic.

good stuff MT/ DF !

Interesting you posted this , as I was looking at an old , too-thin stripped 1980s/'90s skatedeck [ single kicked [tail] ] that I have sitting here , and I was thinking the same … maybe a double 6oz top and bottom , after a good sanding to smooth the wood on the deck , rails , and bottom .

Again , the same thing …with new wide trucks and wheels , this could become a fun ‘backup’ board…

thanks for the kick in the pants [needed]

… I might even try a resin swirl , for something different , and for practice . Has anyone here ever done one on wood ??

I ride my standard decked, Indy trucked, 77mm Scooter wheeled skateboard for downhill transportation regularly, what’s the big deal?

new sticks

big deal

acid swirls

(hmmm…sounds like subliminal drug talk to me …)

wasn’t “Haight-Ashbury” in San Francisco ?

heheh

ben
