My Sway inspire 7'48" "Cheater 5"

Guess I’m getting lazy in my ways.  Plus, I need all the help I can get… This was at my local on January 3rd, 2016.

Double stringer, nine slices of 3"x8’ xps, with extensions in the front.  Edge finne quad set up.  Been along time since I’ve posetd, and longer since I’ve made a new board.  Life happens…  But, as far as I’m concenered, Sways has played the biggest roll in my life when it’s come to making boards (Thanks “Uncle” Dale!), and meeting some very cool people.

Have fun poking fun… Ha!  I know I do.

Nice pic.  Oregon is Awesome!  How about a pic of the board.  Keep it comin’.  This could start a trend of postings.  It’s your  thread.  Keep it going.  I won’t criticize.  I’d post alot of pics if I could from an IPhone .  Guess I am going to have to buy another cheapo notebook.  Lowel

Thank Lowel -

I’ll take some new pics to post.  I posted a bunch years ago when I made it, but I looked a while back and they are gone.  Stinking hosting sites… Ha!

DAMN Taylor… you’re charging that beast!

Great pic Taylor!

You have been missed.

Here and at the campout

Thanks you guys…

The camp out - classic experience.

I looked through all the old pics I have on this computer and none of the Big Pink…   I’m going back to the camera to see if they are there. Charging the battery, 'cuz, like many of us, I’m sure, the camera on my phone has been pretty handy lately.

Once I get pics, one way or another, I’ll show my “secret sauce,” or not…   Not that I wont’ show, but - related to the other thread, which I haven’t commented on - one surfers secret sauce, may turn out to be another’s not so special feature.

Here are some pics from tonight… I found the pics of making the blank on my camera, but couldn’t find them in the transfer choices…

I’d say the hot sauce for me is the kick in front of the fins, and the tight edge cluster itself, and the vee w/slight double concave, and the narrow tail, and the lamp, and the ash tray, and these wool socks, and that’s all I need.

All together makes an 11 footer that tuns pretty good once the waves get tall enough.

So cool Taylor!

I like that your board is completely out of the box but you charge on it!

I was thinking I would remember this board, but I don’t.  It’s true as Chrisp says ;  you are out of the box.  Does always seem to work for you though.  Lowel

… it didn’t even come in a box.  I made it from 3"x2’x8’ pink Owens Corning xps, and cedar stringers - which first seved as templates for hotwiring the foam.  Glass: 4x6oz top and bottom full length full wrap. 1/3 bottom tail patch, 2/3 deck tail patch (I think… Ha! Could be more, wouldn’t be less. If anyone is dying to know, I’ll go look through my notes.)

Yeah Lowel - my most recent white eps 8’er has more pronouced looking belly, and gets some stink eye at the point up north that shall not be named…
