Dimensions are 5’9 X 21" X 2.3" Single concave into a V after the front fins. Extra finplugs to shift the trailer around for fun with 2 extra patches in that area for a single fin to fit in the front 3 plugs(hope it holds)
Thanks for all the tips and help you guys have given
Some of the other guys have probably got a better way. But here is how I did it. Tape down the deck first. Mix you colours seporately with about half the catalyst you would normally use also mix a them in larger quantities than you would normally use. Then throw down your colours. But remember the colour to hit the mating fist will be the one to stay. Take you squeegee and go MAD. Good karma or a few beers also add to that psychedelic creativity.
The top is a blue translucent resin tint cut on the line of the previous cutlap. With white lightning bolt and pinlines. I didn’t have the heart to put a logo on it. The Colours I used were Translucent Blue, Yellow and White.
I used to surf an old board that belonged to my uncle. It was a 60’s version of a shortend longboard. The blue resin and white Lightning bolt was from my first board. All these things reminded me of good times as a kid so I brought them together into one board. I am quite heavy hence the width of the board. I have not tested it yet I will be testing it this weekend comming in knee high UK slop. I am origonally from South Africa so the shape must be a Southern Hemisphere thing.
I’m 150 lbs., and in the old daze, use to ride a 6’ x 22 egg, West Oz inspired copy of a WayneLynch shaped board.
Thought is was kinda cool.
Then switched back to my shorter twins, and it caught waves the same, but paddled slightly worse, pushing thru waves better, floating worse, but turning sharper and quicker for a …tie!
Then went to my 6’ x 18.5 tri fins… once again a tie!
Some things better, some things worse.
Recently, rode a 5’6" fish at 22" wide…once again, some gain, some loss, overall a workable board in general.
But I weigh only 150lbs.
Your board would allow you to ride a 6’ board, paddle around decently, get some waves, and experience the turning quickness of a short board.

interesting …
would you consider putting two more plugs each side, in front of or behind the existing front plugs, for the 4 and 5 fin options ?
ben
p.s. I like the wack colour job , and the backwards lightning bolt is a …different…look!
Well I am no long boarder. I always find myself surfing my shortboards no matter how small it is. Only problem is I am quite heavy for my length 81Kg.
I have used it on a solid 6-7ft day and it was OK but you had to plan your turns, because of the width. I made it for small surf 2-4ft and it goes really well in this type of surf. I have only ridden it as a thruster so far but am planning to put in a few extra plugs for it to be a quad. Unlike a std fish the round tail really helps for those little backhand peaks. It paddles really easy for it size and catches waves with out any problems. All in all its a really fun board for those small days.
HMMM Chipfish61 5 fin sound like a nice idea. I got the plugs!
