Name that surfer.

After looking at the template try and guess the age, weight of the surfer then your input of optimum wave conditions. I haven’t shaped many gunny type things and a friend is mulling a few ideas. Just critique the (favorite expletive here) out of the thing and I will tell you what he was thinking. Just rip it apart because the truth will be good for him.

He thinks he has the best fin set-up also. Blow him out of the water.

know it all's gun

He is happy with these numbers and likes the outline. I don’t agree with his fin choice.

A swaylocks turkey shoot! Yee ha. Rip it up.

Middle aged guy of average “shortboard” ability and weighs 200#, chasing OH+ mushburgers.

My guess: 50 yrs. old, 170 lbs., point break surf.  I like it!

Don’t forget your fin set-up for this outline and rocker, I doubt you will guess his.

I'm sure you're right.  Looks like a standard thruster to me.

I could see that as a thruster, bonzer or 2+1 of some sort.  Drop the tail rocker a little and i could see it as a singlefin, McKee style quad or perhaps a twinner.   I’d be a bit surprised if your guy went with keels.

Looks like what I’m making with a single longboard box. Mine is a bit fuller in the nose, a little less tail width and the wide point is forward of center. It is also 2 3/4" thick.  I’m 52, 165lbs , started surfing about 1966. If I need it, I’ll add side boxes later and make it a 2 +1 or Thruster.

Late 40's , 180 lbs. ,  for slopey  beach breaks and reefs  hh and up.

aaaaaaand , a roll to vee bottom with a 15 " center peak keel!

Does anyone know how to get rid of that pesky drop down ad in the top right corner that always obliterates people's pics ?

40 - 50 yr old guy wanting a good paddler but still a decent amount of performance, probably a bit of an all-rounder shape for different local waves, probably a thruster..... probably a shape for a guy resisting going to a mini-mal board, still wanting to throw down some decent turns as well as have a board that can handle some size at his local spots .....

Wow, you guys are professional. Pretty much have him pinned.

“Tatsu” @ 50 wants a birthday present. 6’1", 210-15 lbs. Surfs if it’s around his rib cage and up to well over-head. Wants the board to reside in his van when not in the water. Drives often because he is a carpenter. Is always close to river mouths, point and beach breaks.

So looks like this guy keeps the gong.

Excellent job guys.
