Natural Progression Twin Fin Board Identification Help Please!?

Hi, I picked up this 6/0 from a friend, it is nearly 3 inches thick and 21 wide. Needs a fin box, maybe throw some futures in it? I dont know what type of box this is? I think board is from Australia? says something about Australian foam...any info on ID, time period and even value is appreciated. I am going to ride it!

Definitely a Chinese piece of junk courtesy of Tom Sena. A complete fake and an insult to the legacy of a brand that was once respected.

And, the board is probably less than ten years old. Evidence of the “quality”.

Natural Progression was right across the street from Malibu. You could watch the point from the shop. Robbie Dick was their main shaper for many years.  Later Chris Cahill took over.

I could be wrong but it looks like it might be one of those imports that were circulating around a few years ago.  Some guy on the east coast was making boards sporting logos from companies that were no longer around.

It seems to be quite old from its condition, I am thinking mid to late 80s, early 90s?

I had several Natural progressions in the 70’s and 80’s and the logo was always colored in with the rainbow pattern.  Also, none of mine had a label for the type of resin used.  The single lins were Fins Unlimited boxes, and the tri-fins were glass on.

As I remember, if it had color, the deck didn’t match the rails/ bottom.  Almost always inlaid.

They also had a shaper Coyote… notorious for boards being asymetrical.  Not by design, but by altered consciousness!

I think I’m with foamdust on this one.

So maybe an east coast knock off? it looks like it is well shaped, also a good glass job

When did this happen? the board I have, I am certain is quite old, at least ten years old....that been going on awhile I guess?

Natural Progression has been closed at least 10 years now.  Terry Lukoff is now selling real estate.  Pretty sad state of surfboard sales, when the only (before Becker, Zuma Jay, etc opened a shop there) board shop in all Malibu closed down so the Owner could sell Real Estate.

Thanks for the info....I am going to fix it and ride it.

When do you think this board? similar to the pics you posted...was made?

It was made in the last few years, but they fall apart so fast it looks old already.

It's too bad that the boards were made with such low quality.  Whoever was producing these boards could have at least had them made with better materials and workmanship to do the brand names some justice.
