Hello my name is Charlie and I’m something of a tool freak but too cheap to really indulge… I see the above item “on sale now” for $25. No affiliation but that sounds like it has most of the qualities I’d like in a sander.

Anyone using this tool that would post some feedback and comparison to other sanders?
I’ve got two of them! They work OK but are noisy. Takes a little bit to get used to the soft start feature. I put good grease in the gearbox but it sounds like the armature bearings that are noisy. I’ve sanded 15 boards with it and it’s still going sooo… For a little less than $2 a board I think I’ve already got my moneys worth…I use more sandpaper $$per board than that!

I’ve used it on two boards. It did a nice job sanding and polishing. As a rookie glasser, I could have benefited from a little extra power sanding down some bumps on the laps. Take your time, it will get the job done. Didn’t notice the noise.
Worth the money.
