Very nice Chrisp! How thick was the fiberglass to start?-J
It’s 1/4" G10 JRandy.
slightly thicker than the Star Fin. I also left the bases slightly long.
I told Stingray that he should be able to massage them with a sanding block to make them fit nice and tight.
Thanks Chrisp. We use 1/4" FR4 at work. A piece got drilled wrong so I got to bring it home, looking forward to trying it. -J
I thought I chipped in here. Must not have hit save. Just wanted to say great looking fins, Chris. Mike
ok… some hand sanding with 100 grit because the G-10 is thicker than StarFin… A little bit of file work to get the cut outs to fit and some other stuff…
Networking on Swaylock’s pays off…Thats how I met Chris…I took the finished fins down to San Diego to show Keith and crew…I was going to buy Stainless steel for the screw plate but San Diego Crew had an old ‘turn buckle’ made out of aluminum that worked just fine. Some old fashion craftmanship and good old hard work…
Mr Stingray
Boom!
Lookin’ good Ray!
Thanks Rooster!
