Need help with epoxy.

I’ve shaped and glassed traditional boards before but now that it’s the end of an era I want to learn how to glass epoxy. I can get EPS blanks but I don’t no how to approach glassing them. I have no idea how much cloth to use. If I build a 9’6", how many layers should I use? I know S glass would work, but is 8 or 10 oz. volan stronger. I don’t mind the weight on a longboard, I just don’t want the nose to break off in the shorebreak.

If you like them heavy, go with triple 6 oz top, double 6 oz bottom.

like it light? go with double 6 oz top, 6 oz + 4 oz bottom…

although, you cant go wrong with a double 6oz deck and double 6 oz bottom…

s glass is fine…

The following link has info on glass schedule.

Also, there is a recent thread here that talks about “epoxy construction tips”, link below. Very useful info all in one place.

If you can make it to the Cerritos composit seminar I am sure it would be well worth your time in what you can learn about eps and epoxy.
