Any of you out there in Bondi willing to help a poor french guy who ripped a fin plug out and asks for “how to” install a new one? The guy contacted us on Shaperoom.net and I tried to explain what to do but it’s not that easy, being thousands of miles away. If someone can help (either show him what to do or even do the repair for a few bucks) plese PM me where he can get in touch with you. Many thanks!
Tell him to go to Manly and travel west to Harbord/Brookvale. They sell plugs at DION, or he
can get a repair at Warner’s or one of the other factories. Way cheaper than the surf shops.
Thanks very much for the fast answer, mate! I’m gonna tell him that.
no need to go to the northern beaches. one of the cram brothers (think it’s…paul?) does ding repair, he’s just off the beach in bondi. there’s also the ding king, who is a few blocks up from bondi junga.
Thanks to both of you, but it sounds like the guy just bought a spare Speedfins plug and some resin and stuff and attempted to repair by himself. Sorry I bothered you for no reason.
no need to go to the northern beaches.
apart from fun and expirencing the nicest places in Sydney.
no need to get into a north beaches/eastern burbs pissing match…all i’m saying is, that’s a heck of a trip for a ding repair you barely have to travel 10 feet from bondi for. make sure your friend surfs dee why, bower, curly, little av etc though!
