Can you provide some feedback on the fins - looks like maybe G-X up front and a 6.5 Bonzer fin in the back? If you could specify, would be very helpful, as I have a custom 2+1 speedster enroute that I will want to try some different fin combo’s on. And were the fins selected by Neil based on past testing?
Well wear Siam, it looks a beauty, Having trawled the archives quite a bit for 2+1 info with limited success, I’d be really grateful if you could post the distance from the tail to the side fins, and a description of the bottom and rails, e.g. where they start to tuck and where they get hard.
Thanks in advance, hope you get waves soon for a test report.
The center fin should be one of John Harris wings.
Chai lao mai koy mee keun te braptet Thai …daer wah pom tahm nghan danng braptet dooay lairo mee oghat bpai Indo lairo SL. EEk sam deun ja bpai Koh Maldives Tai.
thanks for the info. Sweet fin set-up - closest I could find to those dimensions in production fins would be FCS GX fronts, and a 6.25 Rusty Flex in the back…
One last question - rear fin more on the flexy side, or stiff side?
Here’s a fish shaped by NP Sr. that I rode all Summer a few years back - great board
5’10" - 21" - 2 and 5/8"
Fish keels are 7" base, 5.5" high
As I understand it, NP Sr. was shaping these boards (Stringerless fishes based on a Skip Frye style) for NP Jr. around the time of the filming of the “Glass Love” sequences NP Jr. was in… loved that movie and subsequently loved this board - so much fun.
Ha ha Beerfan… An Ozzie asking a Pom living in Asia where to buy an Ozzie made board!!
As Burnise post above I got mine from Ben at Six Ounce in Bondi… a great guy to deal with and well connected with so many great shapers…value for money too.
Burnsie . Lcc will answer as soon as get home and can check
Thanks mate, i googled neal purchase surfboards, but didn;t see a website. Funny world we live in hey??. I checked out the six oz site, and saw your board. Well, unless someone else who lives in thailand ordered a 6’7’’ custom NP board haha.
