New 10'-2" SUP

Attached are pics of a 10’2" SUP just finished. It 22-3/4" x 27-5/8" 17" x 4-1/8" for a 175 lb rider in NC beachbreak waves. 2# EPS with 4-4-6 deck and 4-6 bottom with Resin Research resin.

Yes I made the blank. I use 2# foam from 12’ x 4’ x 3’ blocks. The stringers are “surface stringers” and made from juniper. We have been using these stringers on the 12 footers and decided to use them on this board for looks.

How deep are the surface stringers? Is that a vent screw below the turtle logo?

The surface stringers are a little less than 3/8" thick. The surface stringer idea came from Mike Eaton. Most of the ones we have done are 1-1/2" wide. The Nose and tail block finish them off at the ends. My friend did them on a SUP fish and used a block of balsa between the top and bottom stringer in the but crack. It looked very nice. Yes that is a Chinook vent near the tail. Been thinking about trying to come up with some GoreTex to use with it.
