Thanks Bill. I might ask Ed Wright what he may Know. I Know he sahped for S H but not sure when he left to start Sunset . Was that the same Factory that SNI had? or were they in a diffrent quanset hut?
Artz, I don’t know anything about SNI. Not the who, the where, or the when. They were never on my radar.
Barry, I’ll share the template with you, IF you promise to build it as a twin/single. Deal?
Thanks for the details Bill. I sketched it over the catalog page and am waiting for the build to see if I came anywhere ‘close’. -J
I like the tip about using the super glue to save the templates. I have a couple masonite templates with messed up noses.
Been using door skin plywood lately. It’s thinner and lighter but stiffer. Started using the door skins to keep them from getting messed up. I also started making half/half templates that look like a spin template. One side is the nose the other side is the tail, and they fit on a 4’ x 12" piece of wood. I can get 2 templates with the same amount of wood, or in my case I can get a shape that is longer than the 8’ long pieces of ply or masonite available here. I did a 10’ and a 9’ 4" this way.
Made several templates with long pieces of cardboard too. Easy to cut out with heavy scissors or shears, just go slow to stay on line.
