Just went to the FCS website (www.surffcs.com) and chose Americas. Shortly afterwards an image loaded with H2 fin sticking out of a oval shaped box. Is this some kind of new box that FCS is bringing out?
i see no oval-shaped boxes. all i see are the same ol’ FCS plugs. some are mounted in clear plastic blocks…but still just the same ol’ FCS plugs.

It looks to me like it’s circular, i figured it was a test rig and allowed changing the angle of attack of the fin?

I remember I saw two breakdancers as a kid in the 80’s. One copied another’s moves, so breaker than came up with the original move put his finger in his mouth like a horse’s bit and made up another dance bit. *Bit or biting is slang for copying. Michael Jackson said if someone bit off you it was complimenting your moves.
I thought that was funny. Crazy unusual how the brain works. (Off topic, Pirates 3 if you wait past the credits, you’ll see an extra scene. Decent adventurous movie, but you can tell they’re picking away to get ideas).
Could it be, they realize that 'nother fin box design works and this pic is verifying it? of course this is just my opinion and remember when my board dries, it comes with grains of salt.
This photo is from a flow tank that FCS uses to test.
As one poster surmised, the angle of attack can be
altered with this set-up. They have other photos of
different fins in the tank, also. Nothing sinister going
on here, just fin science.

Howzit Mike, You are right, that’s FCS’s tank for testing for R & D. I have the video from FCS that shows them changing the angle of fins and how the flow changes. Aloha,Kokua
Easy mistake to make. I made it too. when I fist saw that pic around a year ago I thought it was a Lokbox. Lol
