New Liddle Hull Template...Its Time To Get Radical!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been riding my 6’-8" and 6’-6" Liddle since I received them in January. I requested none of the three standard templates, but a wider, shorter, beach break capable hull, that can trim first and turn. I was amazed how different the 6’-6" was from the 6’-8".The 6’-8" had more trim speed, but the 6’-6" allowed for a lot more turning. Graham from Shelter told me he got a 6’-4" in with the same template that Greg made these, so I had to pick it up to see what it would do. I think it was made by the devil!! The new 6’-4" is evil fast and it’s definitely it’s own animal. It’s much faster than the 6’-6", but so far does not turn near as easily. Probably as it has less tail rocker, it is flatter in front of the fin, and has less roll thru the rails in the tail. It is definitely a mind trip how different 3 boards with the same template and such minimal differences in length could be so different.

triple sweet!

Rob try a wider base fin in the 6’4’'. These boards really change when you go just a bit up or down in size because of the fuller templates.

Are wider base fins generally the rule when going shorter on a hull? Perhaps to make up for drive as well as hold during banking/turning? Also, will fin placement move back to compensate for a wider tail?

Those boards look like sooooo much fun. I like short wide boards

It’s all about HIS foil.

One in a million.

Jesus? The Lakers thought they walked on water! Liddle has no illusions about his surfboards.

What do the edges (if there are any) look like? Where do they start and end? How hard are they?

Hey maaaan, you’re harshing my mellow. If Mr. Liddle signed up with Mr. French, you’d be trumpeting the glories of the sandwiched hull over the foam/volan form. The turd would become an sophisticated hydrofoil intent on keeping the rider engaged with the mystical forces within a wave…far out!

bitchen!!! - ever ridden a nug-rug shorter than 6’4?

In efforts to clarify what I mean about the hull turning science. Obviously my own perspective and interpretation. This 6’4" feels like it rides bigger then it is being wider, flatter, and the slightly rails are less pulled up near the tail. It pulls very well on the forward leaning turns of the outline. Very stable for a lil’ board, and has ungodly amounts of pull and sling. Truly WOW!! and hold on. Another thing is it doesn’t loose speed and wants to plow through the flats. I thought it would feel very start/stop but its not that noticeable for how small it is. The win/loose is it feels difficult to tail weight it and rock it through a pivot turn. It wants to go long or stay flat. Get behind the fin and it gets squirelly. Kirk, I don’t want to loose any of the pull, or looseness on the forward leaning rail turns. I am running the 9"narrow Fiberglass fin co flex fin. What would a wider fin contribute or take away from the ride?

drive spring is more stable on a wider base. less flex so you lose a bit of that squirrely quality with a broader profile but it’s especially useful in faster steeper situations. less rail needs more fin

try the liddle 9" (regular base, not the narrow, nor the wide one…) the hulls do get squirrely when you get behind the fin, as everything at that point is out of balance…

Hold out guys, there are some better surftech licensing agreements coming out.

I don’t quite understand the advertising campaign but maybe you will get it.

It’s a live healthy, eat right campaign.

The board series is called “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT”
