New member introduction

Hello!

I found this forum quite by accident yesterday and was completely blown away by the wealth of great ideas and information to be found here. What a wonderful resource! I’ve already spent hours pouring over past posts and learning as much as I can.

I am an amateur board designer / shaper / builder and for my “day job” am president of Marine Simulation LLC, a developer of real-time 3D simulations and VR for the marine industry. I’ve been surfing for about 30 years, windsurfing for about 20 years and kitesurfing for the last 7 years. I shaped my first surfboard back in the late 70’s and have since made about a total of 10 surfboards, sailboards and now kiteboards. I’ve got a couple ideas for my next project, but need to do a bit more homework before I get started.

I look forward to meeting you all and learning (and sharing) as much as I can.
