New project!!!! (singlefin time)

some of you may know i shaped my first board a few weeks back (it works like a dream by the way!!)…recently ive acquired a junker board…not worth $10, but the rails look semi intact and the glass isnt too bad on it…so im turning it into my next project!

its a 7’3" funboard kinda shape, and since i like my fish so much, i thought id try out a retro stlye singlefin. it may be a little thinner than id like in the end, just cause the original board doesnt have the volume i really want, but it should prove fun for the winter time!

the basic dimensions are 6’1" long, 21" wide and about 2 3/4" thick…very very closley resembling the Channel Islands singlefin.

anyone have tips on reshaping a board, or is it as straightforward as it seems?

(pics coming soon)

If you like your fish trace the outline and rounded squarafy the tail.

good luck on your single project.

luuuv singles,

josh.

welp, i finished the project today…i made it as a beater board that i wont care much about. wrote the word UGLY all over the bottom cause thats the only word that described the board…but astonishingly, it rides really really well.

i had a blast on it today even though the waves were hardly there…cant wait to try it in bigger surf!

pics soon!
