Hey, Im shaping my third board right now (First one alone), and im having trouble with the rails. I just took my old UM board and scaled it up from a 5'10 18.25" to a 6'3 20", How should I "blend the rails" to make it feel right when I surf it? Thanks-
Thanks alot! Also when i use my planer it seems that i unevenly remove foam. any tips?
Try very thin cuts till you are adept with the planer. Start very thin from the tail and slowly open it up. I never mastered cutting rails - hope someone else more experienced will chime in.

Read this, it will help a lot: http://www2.swaylocks.com/node/1018545
What I’ve done is find boards that I like the rail volume on and make rail templates, one at 18" from the nose, 18" from the tail and the middle, make them 1/16" smaller to allow for glassing, and that should help you get pretty close.
