New Technology-GL

Greg, I heard a roumor that your working on some new blank?

Darren, You must know an insider. I can’t say a lot about it now but what I will say is that it has similarites to the Solomon S-core but we feel it is better thought out. More shapable and with flex and bouyancy controls no other blank has ever had. Some of the biggest and best in shaping are involved.

greg, are you gonna have to kill him now? http://ovellesurf.com

WOW! sounds very exciting. Well Greg since we cant get the very detailed can you tell us when these blanks will become available to the general public? Or even when your hoping to have it available?

We are building prototypes now. Marketing is down the road aways. Maybe by spring we will have a limited number, but we have more to learn now.

Greg, BUt epoxy is limited on flex…Are you going to dump Resin Reseach?

actually Gregs Resing Research makes 2 types of resin. on thats stiff and one thats flexible.

cool ! though i like what i have heard about what salomon is pursuing, i would love to see someone from within the industry do it instead (and better !). the last thing this industry needs, imho, is a ski company.

Epoxy is very versitile when it comes to flex characterisics. This goes hand in hand with this new project.

Let’s just say that any ski company have a greater understanding of flex than any surfboard manufacturer. regards, Håvard

True. They have been living this stuff for decades while we are just coming to terms with it mattering. We should never limit ourselves from knowlege gained beyond our tiny sphere.

Has anyone done testing with flex (bend) sensors on surfboards? http://members.optusnet.com.au/~minako.kanda/67.EPS
