Next Up In The Shaper's Hot Seat - Greg Loehr

Bump

Greg Loehr will join us this coming Monday Jan 12.   I think he is ready to announce a few new epoxy products and if asked will talk a bit about them. I’ll start the thread Sunday night.

Bill Barnfield will join us sometime in February once the Pro season winds down a bit.

PM me with suggestions for others.

Loehr, Barnfield…

Tuned in here.

Wow!

ABSOLUTELY. Well done.

Love the more positive vibe too.

And, geez, massive kudo’s to the shapers taking the time to answer the questions!

Brilliant. Simply Brilliant.

cant wait to hear about new products…ive heard somthing about “ultra” epoxy.

I need to find a consistent source of EPS foam blocks…they make it in houston, but “its like a box of chocolates…you never know what youre going to get…” Buying blanks in texas is cost prohibitive unless you but in bulk-so we cut out own. Our biggest problem is finding a place that has well fused, 2# foam…the last foam we got from Houston was $1300/Billet (16’ x48" x42")…although we paid for 2#-we got ±1.75# and soft…

Here are the specs they go by http://carpenter.com/docs/expanded-polystyrene-systems/Tech%20Data%20Sheet.pdf

The factory told me, they can run batches of true weight, but you have to ask for it. Otherwise it comes to the low side of tolerance per industry standards.

Carpenter in NC got new machines from Italy. Their EPS quality is way better now.

THANX Dwight!..

Odd, I could swear my post above was in the other thread.

easy mistake to make, because of the similarity of thread titles - go ahead and post up your pics in the hot seat thread

Actually, I’m pretty sure someone moved it.

As far as I know, moderators don’t have the power to “move” a post to a different thread.  We can edit or delete a post, we can quote a post from one thread in another, but I have never seen a post from one thread moved to another thread.  I suppose the site owner with access to the software could probably do it, but I sincerely doubt he would have any reason.
