noaa wavewatch III

Was wondering why I couldn’t find the model page, turns out they changed their address and didn’t provide a redirect. Here’s the new address.

http://polar.ncep.noaa.gov/waves/Welcome.html

http://facs.scripps.edu/surf/gblpac.html

try this one. global or regional. wave height or wave period. by the hour or animation

Actually, the present address is the “old” address revisited again after they did a similar unannounced/unlinked switch to a “new” address some time ago…(i.e. “ncep” → “wwb” → “ncep”)…

The FNMOC wave models use Wave Watch III. I use the FNMOC pressure isobar models to predict our local wind patterns.

FNMOC does have OTIS, which is kinda neat, if you like checking Sea Surface Temp anomalies.
