Noob Looking for A Good Glass Shop

After many years of surfing, I've just about decided it's time to shape my first board.  It's going to be a performance (I hope) longboard.  I've spent a lot of time working with composites/carbon/glass/kevlar/resins in my other hobbies and have no desire to subject myself to the mess and fumes on this scale.  I'd like to price out a good glass job before I bite off more than I can chew.

I'm located in Pacific Palisades, West Los Angeles Area.  What is a reasonably priced glass shop that will cooperate with me as a one-off customer?  Given that I'm not even sure whether the board will be worth riding, I don't want to spend a fortune on glassing it.

Thanks,

Dominic

I’m out of your area, but you sound old enough and probably have a car.

So I’d do a few things besides post here.

Google : ‘you city, surfboard glassing’

                ‘close city, surfboard glassing’

This produces results.

Then I’d call Santa Monica and South Bay surf shops and try to find leads on the phone.

If a 12 year old girl answers or someone similarly disqualified try calling at a different time.

I like to visit glass shops personally and tell them i’m a ‘one-boarder’ and ‘how much?’

and look the place over.
