nose shaping

Good morning. One clearly mysterious stage for me when making boards is thinning the nose down to where I want it. Should I be incorporating it all into the bottom rocker or some from the bottom and then foiling some from the top? Any advice?

for thinning the nose you take the foam off from the top because you would mess up the rocker if you took it off from the bottom

will do, thanks.

the idea is to have the deck rocker of the blank match the deck rocker of your finished product so as to minimize the amount of foam taken off the deck, however you should NOT sacrifice your desired rocker design to avoid removing from the deck at the nose. take foam off from whichever side is necessary to achieve the correct rocker, but if you can go either way, then take it from the bottom.
