hey guys, thats all very interesting info there! I am throwing numbers around at the moment trying to get a good shape for my 1st board, I too would love a noserider, so far I’ve got 9"6’ long, 3 1/2’ nose rocker, 5’ tail rocker, 18’-23’-15’, 6’ square tail, 50/50 rails, slight vee in tail, slight concave in nose, but my worry is: If I make this board which will be a good noserider, will it still ride ok when not on the nose and if not, what can I change to make it a good mix of the two? I’m not looking for a performance board at all, just a single fin cruiser/fun board that I can walk up occaisionally. 3ft waves max.
I have been stuck on this problem for quite a while now and can’t start anything untill I am sure I am building the right shape!!!
any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
thanks Robbo.
i’d lose the vee and do a rolled bottom thru the tail. nose rocker dropped down closer to the 3" range wouldn’t hurt either. i’d also go 1/2" wider at the nose and close to 1" wider in the tail with a bigger square tail…but now we’re really getting down to personal preference…and that’s just me.
they just put up a nice comparison chart on the Harbour website showing all their different “cruiser” models. take a look, see what you like, and maybe it’ll inspire this shape you’ve got workin’…
