Not shaping related. Florida swell

Sorry for wasting bandwith but Florida needs some recognition.

Those are south of us. Front is moving away, tomorrow is our day.

today was RIDICULOUS!!!

(that is all)

Yes, it was.

Yes, Andrea rocked.

California crowds, all sorts of boards being ridden that have not seen the light of day in years. Yet, just another day for those places in the world that have waves on a regular basis.

I rode a vacuum bagged eps shortboard with syntex cloth Tuesday on beefy overhead waves that denied most of the regular populous.

I rode a hybrid fish with vector foils this morning in crowds so thick it was reminiscent of Snapper rocks.

I finished off the swell this afternoon on a 9’0" performance longboard with rails so well adapted to the water it felt like I was cheating.

Performance surfboard manufacturing lives on in Brevard County, Florida. Steve Forstall and Richie Buehn quietly go on their way.

50mph wind gust sliced away at the obx all weekend and early into the week to create that swell. Here’s what it looked likke in Kitty Hawk…

This shot is Shawd Dewitt, one of the owners of Rainbow fin company, who happened to be in florida on a sales run during this swell…

a few more…
