Number two...

I recently finished my first, its the “blame sways” thread…

That board is working very well, solid, fast and very loose for a 9’0, goes top to bottom and still lets you have ten over.

Wider is better for some of us, that board at 23 3/4 works great in our mushy stuff.

I was going to start on a triple stringer old school log but I had another blank that was calling me…

It’s a 10’8" by 26 by 22n by 17t, 3 3/4 thick. 50/50 rails and 48" of nose concave at a max of 3/4ths deep, flat bottom through out.

I built it for a little protected spot up here thats surfable all winter-outside will be an out of control 15’ and this little spot will be 3’ and mushy but peeling for quite a ways up a bay. It’s a 1 mile paddle to get there and of course, 1 mile back.

Here is the lap and the comp stripe done, I did the deck tonight and will knock a few tits down in the morning and hot coat it, fin box and hopefully float it by Tuesday.

Went way easier than the first one, my laps are tighter, the relief cuts were all in the right places and I am not wearing a pint of resin!

My comp line didn’t work out so well, I wanted the darker color thinner but once its down, its down…

Its Sun Yellow with red hints and a clear deck, I will do another red resin pinline too.

And me at the spot I shaped this pig for…
