Had a great time when I was lucky enough to visit NZ back in 2002. Hopefully I’ll make it back someday. This east coast lineup was no joke - the pic doesn’t even come close to doing it justice.

I love blacks, sooo good. has some amazing surfs there.
West is best although im having a few doubts now after seeing these Paul !! 
hi kayu. i dont surf that wave. it has a deadly shut down at the end and there is a tight crew of pro level guys on it when its on. it is a reef break with a dry section at the end. needs the wave before to leave water over it. sketchy as. all the other barrels are rivermouths or gutters on steep shingle beaches. . west is certainly more consistent no ocean . but raglan is a joke and taras is onshore all winter. i dunno tough call. taras is the spot not many barrels over there tho… Boyes i love blacks too. is empty 6 times out of ten
