I know I said I wouldn’t be back and I apologize but…
Marc (Sr Pato) and family will be in town 10/26-10/28 with flyby 10/18 on his way to Kauai.
He’ll be staying in town at the hilton but he wants to check out my crazy quiver and compsand dellusions
Saturday sounds like a better day leaving sunday for recovery
I know there’s no major surf on the southside this year but the only family surfsafe/picnic friendly beach I know of is stinky Barbers Point/White Plains/Officer Beach/Kalaeloa or hang out with all the crazies at Haubush which can be spooky to outsiders but where the surf is just a couple strokes off shore.
Alii is another picnic line of sight surf spot choice but you never know what the surf or contest scene will be like in the country this time of year. And Makaha would be great but showing up with an instant surf crowd at certain spots is a no no…
If any of you want to try and make it something more than just two swaylockians BS-ing just let me know here and if there are other better places family/picnic surf safe where I can haul a bunch of boards for Marc to easily try over the course of the day.
Personally I haven’t been anywhere near the ocean for almost a couple of months due to work and other “woodworking” distractions and this was a lousy south shore summer. So I’m out of surf shape, pale and currently recovering from theis nasty flu going around town.
We’ve been idiot building like always but haven’t cleaned up enough around here to start on Roy’s board but it will get done just like everything else we have to do. Based on the amount of wood milling by chainsaw we have to get done I’m gonna change our label name to “Woodchuck Works”(you know the saying) with the jarhead Beav-promoter or Zeke from Surf’s Up as are spokesmodel… “Cause duude its koa and wiliwili”. (personally I preferred the Johnny Tsunami version)
Glad to hear Plaskett turned out well
John and Keith are my heroes…
The rest of you folks here are as crazy and aggressively argumentative for no good reason as ever.
My self exile has been great and definitely way more productive.
too much to do…
let me know
