I think I get it… I saw a little window after my last post… "You have 8 points "… So I just keep starting meaningless threads until I accumulate the required number of points allowing me to actually participate…

I actually just learned about this too, must be a new feature.

Still pretty cool that you can start threads even before you can participate in others, and come on, how hard can it be?  You already have 11 points, haha.
