the thing is beat up and I’d just like to screw around and learn something with it, what can I "transform it into?
Well… that depends on what you want I guess?. I’d say a Bonzer, but if you’re not up to that and I don’t blame you cause those board look sort of complicated, how about a twinfin?
Hi JS - there was a trend a while back, i think aboput 13 Dec called ‘pics of butchery in progress’ have a look at that, should be helpful.
Before you start chopping, who shaped and what do you think trashed is?
I sure wish i didn’t trash my old dingless 1976 7’9" cherry red and yellow Parrish Lighting Bolt in the swimming pool. But when the twinnies came around in about 78-79 it was a log of the past…that was until everybody started thinking retro boards were cool again. I even say a guy selling a perfectly mint one at the swap meet about 15 years ago, he wanted $150.00 for it…I just laughed and walked away, I thought yeah right jack ass.
Sincerely,
The Jackass
IF I was thinking about cutting down an old 8’6" gun, I’d probably try to make a 7’6" minigun. Gun lines and shapes are pretty particular.
But I’m with Resinhead, think twice about it. You might be better off restoring it, or trading it away to someone who will. Post pictures of it before you cut into it!
